Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Let us give thanks to God as we approach His throne for the grace that He has poured out upon our sin. Let us give thanks for His working in our lives.
Isaiah 42:9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.”
Let us pray for the new things that God is doing in our midst. The new Ladies and Men’s Bible studies, the new Homebound Ministry, the new Conquer ministry and new Adult Bible Fellowship classes that are beginning in the next couple of weeks. Let us ask God to use these new things to touch lives in spiritual ways and to make an eternal difference on the lives of those that they impact.
Matthew 19:6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
Let us pray for marriages in our church and in our nation. Let us pray for marriage in the Church. Let us ask God to restore holiness to the marriage covenant. Let us pray for the current sermon series, that God will reveal His truth and intent to each of us by His Holy Spirit through His Word. Let us ask God to give Pastor Mark prophetic revelation as he studies for these sermons.
3 John 1:2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.
Let us pray for those that have requested prayer this week through the church. Those battling cancer and other health issues. Let us pray for their spiritual well being as they suffer physical illness and disease.
Malachi 4:6 He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents;
Let us pray for both our children and our parents. Let us pray for their health, safety and salvation. Let us ask God to bless them in His infinite mercy.
1 Timothy 3:16 Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.
Let us pray for the ‘good news’ of Christ Jesus to go out among the nations that He may be lifted high and the Father glorified through Him. Let us pray for all of those who have dedicated their time, talents and treasures to sharing the ‘good news’ to a lost and dying world.
Acts 14:17 Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”
Let us thank God for the rain this week and His abundant provision of all of our needs and so many of our ‘wants’.
1 John 2:14 I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
Let us pray for holiness and purity in the minds and lives of the men of our church. Let us ask God to raise them up as a ‘royal priesthood’ in their homes.
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray for equality in our world, equality in work and pay and in respect and safety, in race and gender. Let us ask God to renew our hearts and impress upon us His vision of others. Let us love one another as He loves us.
1 Peter 1:22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.
Let us pray for our services, for truth to go forward in power and in might. Let us pray that we can become a witness of light for the Lord by loving one another unconditionally. Let us pray a hedge of protection around our pastor as he battles for righteousness’s sake.
